Request Page

Use this page to:

Ask for assistance from other stations to complete a lightcurve.

Notify others that you are working a given asteroid so they can chose another target if desired.

To query other observers if a given asteroid is being worked so duplicate observations can be avoided or collaborative efforts established.

Don't "hoard" asteroids, e.g., claim to be working a dozen asteroids during a given ten day period. If this starts to happen, limits of on the number of active "Being worked notification" posts per person and/or location may be enforced. Exceptions will be allowed for special cases but, in general,  monopolies will not be permitted.

You must enter data for all fields marked with an asterisk (*).

The "Approx. Mag" is to give those reviewing requests a quick idea if the target is within reach of their equipment.

Use the Comments field for a brief addition to the other information, e.g., the approximate position of the asteroid if it is new and may not be in the MPC/Lowell search databases
