Incremental Updates

You must have version 9 installed before you can use these upgrades. These are not full installations.

Have the release code card that you received with your original version 9 purchase. You will need to enter the code for each product that you are upgrading.

QuickUpdates

Check for QuickUpdates at the bottom of the page. These are ZIP files that update only the EXE files beyond the latest full incremental update. If necessary, get and run the latest full update and then get/unzip the QuickUpdates.

 

Incremental V9.5.0.3 Update – November 3, 2008

It is CRITICAL that you run the Convert 9 program during the update if updating from 9.2.0 or before. Specifically that you use the second tab to update all *SESS.FF2/*OBS.FF2 files. See the updated help file for Convert 9 (available when running that program).

If in doubt, run the conversion. It does no harm to run the conversion on converted files.

  • If you're using or planning to use the AAVSO features in PhotoRed, you should run the CONVERT9 program during installation and, unless otherwise needed, convert only the AAVSO/AAVSO2 files (second tab of CONVERT9). See the changes file for more information.

  • Important Note: Starting with version 9.4.0.0, the help file system has been converted to CHM (compiled HTML) help files. The old HLP files are no longer used and will be deleted from your system. If you want to keep these files, make a backup before you run the update program.

The SETUP file updates the MPO suite of programs (only those that you installed), help files, and documentation as well as any additional files that may be required.

Quick Updates

The files below are ZIPs of specific programs that have been updated since the general 9.5.0.3 update. If you've already installed 9.5.0.3, download these quick updates as needed.

  1. Make a backup of the original programs (in \MPO\PROGRAMS)
  2. Extract the contents of the ZIP files to \MPO\PROGRAMS
